Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens faced Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline

At WWE Money in the Bank, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes teamed up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to face The Bloodline. The Bloodline has a lengthy and turbulent history, including Rhodes, Orton, and Owens.

When Roman Reigns stepped down after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to The American Nightmare at WrestleMania, Solo Sikoa assumed the role of Tribal Chief and made huge adjustments to the lethal faction.

Solo Sikoa brutalized his brother Jimmy Uso and introduced the destructive Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, sons of the great Haku. At WWE Clash at the Castle, Sikoa planned a 3-on-1 attack on Rhodes, but KO and The Viper intervened to even the odds.

Then, on the June 21 episode of SmackDown, Jacob Fatu appeared to attack Orton and Owens before hitting Rhodes with a Samoan Splash from the top rope onto the announce table. As a result, the stage was set for an exciting Six-Man Tag Team Match! Let’s have a look at the result of the match.

The Bloodline stays supreme as they lay “The American Nightmare”

The anticipation was palpable as the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 event kicked off with a thrilling six-man tag team match featuring Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens facing The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu. The arena buzzed with excitement, and a massive “We want Roman” chant filled the air as the competitors prepared for battle.

Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, began the match against Solo Sikoa, only for Sikoa to quickly tag in Tama Tonga. Rhodes and Tonga locked up, with Rhodes gaining the upper hand early on. A running bulldog from Rhodes set the tone, and he tagged in Kevin Owens. Owens, fueled by the emotional tribute to his mother, who was fighting for her life in the hospital, unleashed a fury of punches and stomps on Tonga to a massive ovation.

Randy Orton entered the fray next, delivering his signature ten punches in the corner followed by a powerful uppercut. The action intensified as Jacob Fatu, known for his resilience and toughness, entered the ring. Orton’s attempt at a hanging DDT was thwarted by Fatu’s no-sell, showcasing the toughness of the Samoan skull. Fatu responded with a Samoan Drop and a basem*nt superkick, tagging Solo Sikoa back in.

A loud “F–k you, Solo” chant echoed through the arena as Sikoa took control, distracting the referee to allow Fatu and Tonga to double-team Orton. Despite the chants for Roman Reigns, Sikoa declared himself the new Tribal Chief. Orton endured a beating but managed to tag in Kevin Owens, who received a huge ovation. Owens knocked Sikoa and Fatu off the apron, delivering a cannonball to Tonga and a Swanton Bomb from the top rope.

The tide turned when Fatu tagged in and dominated Owens with head-butts and a hard whip into the corner. The intensity peaked when Sikoa accidentally knocked out the referee, preventing him from being pinned after taking finishers from all three babyfaces. Chaos erupted as the ref was crushed against the steel steps and Fatu was put through the announce table.

At the climax of the match, finishers were exchanged by all participants. The referee was tossed back into the ring just in time to count the pinfall after Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike to Cody Rhodes. The Bloodline emerged victorious, with Sikoa pinning Rhodes, setting the stage for a potential title match for the new Tribal Chief at SummerSlam.
