They joined the Highlane Club, and their daughter began lessons in dance and piano. They retired when their daughter graduated from college and married.
They became snowbirds between Southbury, CT and Boca Raton, FL, they joined The Golden Harbour Yacht Club, Deerfield Country Club, and Virginia was a member of the Boca Bridge Club, she was always active in church, in 1992 Ed passed away. She then left her home in Hillsboro and moved to Edgewater Pointe Estates, when in 1996, she met and married Bernard "Packy" McFarland they had live idyllic years together, traveling all over the world, with friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Packy McFarland; her daughter, Carole A.K. Wilson, who resides in Boca Raton; two grandchildren, Craig W. Wilson (Alison), Heather Lindsay Martin (Carl); four great grandchildren, Alexander, Madison, Emily, and Lindsay.
