- Thailand is very welcoming to LGBTQ+ tourists but does not necessarily support its own LGBTQ+ citizens with the same enthusiasm. Be mindful of this whilst travelling as LGBTQ+.
- Thai people are generally conservative and are not inclined to touch strangers - this includes shaking hands. Instead a polite bow is the preferred greeting.
